We spent our mornings at the beach and afternoons by the pool. There’s a shaded covered area, which I used while my wife relaxed in the sun on a lounge chair. The complex has a few sensible rules, like no glass near the pool, no jumping in, and quiet hours after 10 pm. It’s a lovely place for couples and families, though probably not for party animals. We rented C611 from Bill, who clearly cares about his guests. The living room and lanai had spectacular views, and the unit felt comfortably Hawaiian, with some island decor and a modern kitchen that had almost every gadget we could think of. It came with a gas range, full sized fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. The bedroom had a king sized bed, plus beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, pool noodles, and large beach towels. The living room had AC, and two ceiling fans plus a floor fan in the bedroom kept the cooler air moving at night. It was more than adequate, really comfortable. We can’t wait to return.

We could walk to shops, cafes, and restaurants, and parking was included with plenty of spaces. Staff were friendly, and security made nightly rounds. The landscaped grounds were beautiful and well cared for, with two pools and outdoor grills for guests. Our unit was clean and came with lots of helpful extras, including beach towels and chairs, snorkel and mask sets. The property is right across from Kamaole Beach II, and the rentals are affordable. A great place for a Maui vacation.

The grounds are surrounded by gorgeous flowers and plants. It’s right across the street from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and rental places nearby. We loved staying here.

We stayed for two weeks in D-510, a privately owned one bedroom in the Akahi building. The owners said to contact them directly instead of booking through an agency, since the deal was much better and had no extra cost. Ours was a beautiful, recently renovated place on the fifth floor with ocean views. It had granite countertops, huge sliding doors opening the living room onto the Lanai, and a lovely bathroom with a walk in shower. There are two pools and a tennis court, and Kamaole Beach Park 2 is right there. Fred's and other restaurants are nearby.

We’ve been renting here for more than eight years and keep coming back for the Kihei location and good value. Kamaole II beach is right across the street, and the property is well looked after. There are two pools with propane grills in the pool area. You can find many of the rentals on the top short term rental sites. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
