The central location made it easy to get to the beach and shopping, and the views were spectacular. The accommodations were wonderful, very clean, and had all the amenities. I'll definitely come back!

The sandy beach is right there, and the pool, hot tub, and BBQ facilities were great. Everyone staying there, guests and owners alike, was friendly. We booked our unit through Airbnb, and the inside was fairly modern and updated.

The grounds at Sugar Beach Resort are nicely kept, and our ocean view from the fourth-floor condo was perfect. The building itself is old, though, and the condo’s furnishings felt very outdated. The cooking pans were old and extremely worn, which didn’t feel healthy. The lanai was tiny, the smallest I’ve ever seen, and I’ve visited Hawaii more than 20 times. It’s really only for two people. We had noise from several directions. The ceiling fan over the bed was old and clicked loudly all night. We could hear the people upstairs opening and closing sliders and doors every day and night. Contractors also drilled and did work on four days of our stay, with the noise lasting into the evening one day. The washing machine stopped halfway through a cycle, and my husband had to reset it. We would never stay here again.

The grounds and pool are beautiful, and the beach is great. Kihei Ponds is a nice walk away, and there’s a good sandwich shop and bar on the property. A perfect spot for all kinds of fun!
