This has become a favorite, and we’ll stay here again. It was our second visit and we had another amazing experience. The room was very clean, and the woman who helped us at check-in and check-out was so nice. I booked a standard room this time. It had a king bed, kitchen, full bathroom, and a dining table with chairs. I didn’t notice until I read the paperwork that I’d booked a pet-friendly room. It was so clean I’d never have guessed dogs had stayed there before.

We had amazing ocean views from our second-floor room, Room 210. The beach access is great, and the location in Kill Devil Hills is nicely central. It was helpful that we could check in early, and the room was very clean. The bed was really loud because the mattress sits on a metal base. It made a lot of noise whenever we sat on it or got in and out. I mentioned it to the woman covering the front office for Sunday morning check-outs.

We were just a few steps from the beach, and the bathroom was roomier than I expected, with a really nice shower. It’s an older motel, so the rooms are small and the A/C is in the window, but that’s part of its charm. The place is darling, with thoughtful little touches like wind chimes. A perfect spot for a short getaway, and we can’t wait to return.

The view out back was beautiful, and the whole place felt very family friendly. Our room was spotless, and I loved the flooring instead of carpet. Outer Banks Motor Lodge is an older motel, but it’s been renovated nicely, and the front desk staff were super friendly. We really enjoyed our mini stay.

We had a lovely stay in August, and everyone was so kind. A third-party booking mix-up meant our reservation wasn’t right, but the staff went above and beyond to sort it out. They even moved us into the room I thought I’d booked, at no extra charge. My husband and I had a great time.
