Best Western Plus Killeen/Fort Hood Hotel & Suites

The staff were really nice, and the place was fairly clean and newer than most options around Killeen. It was a decent choice for the area, where luxury hotels aren't exactly known. Our late check-in while traveling did cause confusion: we were told that if we arrived after 3 a.m., we'd be charged for another day. That didn't make sense since we planned to leave by checkout time.

I stayed with Best Western Kileen and had to call about a service issue that wasn't their fault. Tyisha (sorry if I've spelled that wrong, we only spoke on the phone) was so polite, pleasant, and understanding, and helped resolve it. Her customer service was the kindest and friendliest I've ever experienced from any company. I hope she's treated with the respect she deserves.

The room was spacious, with a separate sink by the refrigerator and a mini fridge that worked great. Most of the room looked newly updated, though the toilet and shower didn't. At first the toilet wouldn't flush and the water backed up like the main line was clogged. There was no maintenance person on site that night, but by morning it had cleared. The beds were firm, which isn't our preference, and the building felt damp and humid everywhere for the whole week. We'll pick another hotel next time we're in Killeen.

That breakfast was chef's kiss 🤌🏾, and the area was spotless and welcoming. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We didn't use the amenities, but they all looked nice. I'll stay here again next time I'm in town.
