The kind of help we got on departure day says a lot about this place. Our Uber cancelled, no taxis were available, and we were at risk of missing our flight. Matt, the GM, drove us about 50 minutes to the airport himself so we could make it. That was way beyond what he had to do, and showed real kindness and care for his guests. We had a great stay at the Grey Bonnet Inn.

The weekend hot breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and really comfortable. We came for a weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the inn was. The staff were very personable, too. The pool and sauna, along with the bar and restaurant, weren’t open, and I believe they’re doing some updates. Still, the place is only about 10 minutes from the mountains. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area.

A private balcony and comfortable beds made the slightly dated rooms easy to enjoy. The inn is just a short way from the main strip in Killington, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had the basics we wanted, cereals, bagels, yogurt, and more. We didn’t try the amenities, though the heated indoor pool and sauna looked inviting. I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in the area.

Auburn took such good care of us that by the end of the visit we’d made her an honorary sister. We came for a sisters’ trip in August, during the quiet off-season, and hope to return soon. The indoor heated pool and sauna were open, though the outdoor pool wasn’t. The pool deck flooring was rough and needs replacing, so we kept our sandals on until getting in. When the pool heater broke, our innkeeper got right on it and had it repaired quickly. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the AC worked great. My sister slept really well, and loved that there were ear buds in the lobby because our other sister snores, lol. I liked the refillable water bottles there. Breakfast was a nice spread of basics, though there were no hot dishes in the off-season, and we had plenty to eat before heading out. The inn was very quiet. It could use some updates.

The clean, attractive lodging, kind and helpful staff, and location minutes from Killington and Pico were the only positives for us. I think they should have finished the promised renovations before opening, especially with a working pool and better soundproofing, which they said they planned to do this summer. We chose the hotel specifically because it advertised a pool for our two kids, then learned in a confirmation text sent the day we arrived that the pool and sauna were closed for the season. The new staff told us they’d only taken over the property two months ago and had major work planned for summer. They were friendly, but this visit was awful and ruined our trip. At check-in we were told to keep quiet from 10-7 because sound carries. It seemed no one else got that message. Doors slammed all night, people ran through the halls, it sounded like furniture was being moved above us, kids screamed at midnight, and the people next door talked until midnight. We could even hear them discussing whether to set their alarm for 7 or 7:30 and whether to leave at 8:30. None of us could sleep. My spouse went to the front desk several times for help with the noise, but nobody was there, and our room had no phone to call them. The shower faucet was installed backwards in several rooms by the previous owners, apparently, so ours only ran cold until someone at the desk showed us how to work the handle for hot water. The mattress my spouse and I slept on had broken springs, making sleep even worse once the noise eventually stopped. Cell service was almost nonexistent, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out.
