I felt safe staying here as a solo female traveler, including leaving my things in the room during the day and sleeping there at night. The door had a solid lock inside and out. I booked the Queen with private bathroom, and both the room and bathroom were clean, with a very comfortable bed. The owner was kind and helpful when I had a package with a new phone delivered, and she also brought a phone message to my room. The staff were friendly too. Breakfast was great, and the cozy common area was a nice place to relax and meet people. There's a shared fridge and microwave. I sometimes heard people in the hallway at night, but my sound machine meant it didn't bother me. The lodge is a few minutes' drive from Killington resort, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. I'd love to return, maybe for hiking in warmer weather.

TORL has a cozy, familiar feel, with a ski and boot rack by the entrance, a shared fridge for groceries, and a great breakfast included. Each night during the season, the accommodating host Aaron makes a roaring fire in the stone hearth, with plenty of couches around it. I found it while looking for an affordable place near the Killington slopes, and it was a great find. Rooms with private baths are still affordable, but if you're on a budget, get a room with a shared bath. It's about a 15-minute drive to the base of The Beast of the East, and West Hill Rd is a useful shortcut. Hard to beat for the price!

I usually stay in the dorm bunks, and they're always tidy and clean. The beds could be a bit more comfortable, but I'm always happy with the price.

The other guests helped make the stay, sharing cookies by the lodge lobby fire. Even though I was running late, the owner made check-in easy, and we found the room cozy when we finally arrived. We woke up to a great breakfast, parking was simple, and things just kept getting better. We’ll definitely be back.

Breakfast was ready at 6:30, just right for eating before we headed to the slopes at 8. There were pastries, bread, cereal, coffee, water, and orange juice, all complimentary. The lodge felt cozy, with easy parking and an entrance that made unloading bags simpler. It’s shared accommodation, with big tables and couches around a fireplace in the first-floor common room. If you want your own bathroom, be sure to book the “private bath” option.
