Chatfield Hollow Inn

Our wedding felt like a fairytale, and we're still a little amazed that it was actually ours. Ken, Forrest, Tema, and everyone at CHI helped bring our idea to life. Their hospitality and care for every detail of our stay and wedding were rare, and we're so grateful to them. We’ll never forget that weekend at Chatfield Hollow Inn, and guests are still telling us it was the nicest wedding they’ve attended. The day flowed through the property, starting with cocktails among the orchard trees, then the ceremony at the secluded spot in the back, and finally the reception under the beautifully decorated tent. The tent had draping, lights, candles, and all the details we’d hoped for. There are also two smaller koi tanks set into the stone wall by the reception area. The ceremony spot, tucked among trees, made for a really special entrance and exit, and the patio above it is where the reception tent stands. The Inn gave us a place to stay for two nights, including the night before and the night of the wedding, and to spend time with guests who'd traveled from far away. The whole setting is stunning: a forest retreat in Killingworth, CT, with an orchard of apple, peach, and pear trees at the entrance, followed by a large koi pond framed by evergreens and native Connecticut trees. At peak New England foliage, it made a spectacular wedding backdrop. The property is beautiful, and it's run by people who clearly care about their guests.

We had a wonderful weekend breakfast thanks to Tema, who's a fantastic cook, and Ken was a phenomenal planner. The staff were incredible. Both the Inn and its grounds are spectacular, with a stunning setting for the family wedding we attended. It's a great spot for a wedding or just a relaxing visit.

Even with the rain, Ken and his team made the wedding space warm and welcoming, adding thoughtful touches along the way. My daughter got married there this past weekend, and Ken was always around to help. He’s kind and generous, with a big heart, and really wanted the bride and family to feel happy and comfortable. The place feels magical, with lovely details throughout. He only holds a few weddings each year, so getting a date there would be very lucky.

We had our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner and wedding at this hidden gem. The Inn was spotless, cozy, and still spacious, and it's a beautiful venue beyond words. Ken and Forrest, the owners, went out of their way to make the weekend feel special. Tema, the innkeeper, was friendly, fun, and incredibly helpful. We fell for the place and for Ken, Forrest, and Tema. We're definitely planning to rent the Inn for a family weekend, and I'd say check it out. You won't be disappointed.
