Super 8 Kimball

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, though there was a funky cleaning agent smell that was very noticeable, if not horrible. The place could definitely use some updating, and there wasn't a single USB port in the room.

Second time here, and it was just as pleasant as before. It's quiet, and the beds are extremely comfortable, so stay here and sleep like the dead. Rocky and his family are awesome people. 10/10.

We chose a 2-star hotel, so our expectations weren't high. Still, the toilet in our room was dirty, and the towels were the thinnest we've ever had at a low-budget hotel. Almost all of them had stains. Breakfast wasn't great either. The cheese omelets were frozen, which is good for avoiding food waste, but not when there's only 1 microwave and the breakfast area is already 60% full. There was no protein offered, while every other hotel we stayed at on this trip had bacon or sausage. It felt like management was trying to cut costs wherever possible. At least the employees were nice, the AC worked, and the location was very convenient.

The price was right, the rooms were clean, and getting to I80 was easy. It's a nice little small town, Kimball, and you can't beat this place.
