Keefer's Inn

When my daughter was stranded in King City with car trouble, the inn took her in warmly and made sure she was safe. I stayed there too while traveling to help her, and I’m grateful to the innkeepers and for the value. It’s a well-run, well-maintained family-owned inn, and if you’re staying in King City, it’s an easy choice.

The front desk was friendly, and this feels like a mom-and-pop hotel. The room was clean, with hardwood flooring throughout. The heater worked well, and the towels were average. The fridge ran all night without taking a break, though it wasn’t right in front of the bed. Traffic from CA-101 can be heard from this distance. Parking was easy, and the gas station next door wasn’t an issue. I’d come back at this price. Definitely book through their website.

We stayed three nights on a trip to Pinnacles NP, and King City worked well for visiting both the west side one day and the east side the next. It’s really the only city where you can pull that off efficiently. The clean, comfortable room had working AC, and the place felt safe and dog-friendly. Nothing fancy, but the price was great. The owner and staff were great folks and set us up with a dog-friendly room. The Rustic Barrel is an incredible BBQ place sharing the parking lot, with great food and drinks right next door. There were also some contract workers staying at Keefer. They went out in the mornings and were around in the evenings. They were all chill, but it’s worth knowing. I’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

A cozy, quiet little mom-and-pop inn, no frills. Just a comfy bed and hot shower. This is the first place I check for a room when I’m visiting King City.
