The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, which are the main things I look for. Breakfast was pretty good and they kept it stocked. I also liked being able to get coffee or tea anytime, though the coffee and hot water were only lukewarm. We stayed two nights, but housekeeping never came by, so the trash and towels weren’t changed and the bed wasn’t made. The TV channels wouldn’t load. The front desk brushed it off as a new system they couldn’t fix and seemed annoyed when we asked. A technician came Saturday morning and said it should work by later that day, but it still didn’t. I heard other guests mention their TVs were out too. On Friday we signed into our own streaming service, but Saturday night the internet was down, so we couldn’t watch or sign out of it.

We’d chosen a top-floor room away from the highway because we had an infant, but when we arrived they moved us to the second floor on the highway side. They said changes were needed for a hockey tournament, even though our team was spread across three floors. Parking cost $5 a night, and part of the lot was restricted because wires were lying across it. They weren’t marked and were very hard to see at night. The room was small, with exposed wiring where outlet covers were missing. The faucet and handle were loose and wobbly. The breakfast area was disgusting, and neither clean nor stocked.

We needed a convenient place to get some sleep, and the location worked well. But while making up the pull-out sofa for my toddler, they pulled a condom out from underneath it. It was unused, luckily, but it showed the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. We raised it with Roger, who took care of the issue and brought it to management. He’d also been very friendly at check-in, sharing tips on restaurants open during the holiday and things to do nearby.

After our Philadelphia Airbnb turned into a nightmare, my husband, our small dog, and I needed somewhere else in a hurry. This hotel had what we needed: a comfortable bed, extra pillows, plenty of space, guest laundry, hot coffee, and breakfast. The best part was Carmen Lisette’s customer service. We had to add a few days, and she made the change easy. Such a great experience, and I highly recommend it.
