Baymont by Wyndham Kingdom City

The room and bathroom were both nice and really clean, and the customer service was 10/10. Somehow my reservation hadn't saved, but the gentleman helped us out and found us a great room at a great rate. Everything worked out perfectly.

Anil Wagle, the on-site manager, started giving us trouble as soon as we came in. He objected to two adults, two children, and two toddlers staying in a two-bed room. We called his boss, who said they could accommodate us, but Anil hung up on him. Then Anil said he'd waive fees and accommodate us if we gave him a five-star review. He also tried to take a $100 deposit on the sly. My family had an event and other relatives were staying at the same hotel. They paid without any trouble, and he didn't ask them for a deposit. In reply to the owner: Anil tried charging my card several times before I told him the money was on it. Booking.com asks how many people are staying, and we entered two adults and four children, yet the hotel still showed as available. The system needs updating so other guests don't get put through this too. Anil spoke with the next hotel, Booking.com, and arranged for the Quality Inn in Kingdom City, MO to accommodate us, but they harassed us too. Asking someone for a deposit and then begging for a fake five-star review is crazy. It makes me wonder whether the five-star reviews here are even real or deserved. Minus five stars!

The manager and staff were so sweet and accommodating. We had two small dogs, and they made sure we got a first-floor room. It was on the smaller side but had enough space. The hotel is still being redone, yet it was spotless and smelled amazing. The bathroom had soap, shampoo, and everything else we needed. The TV was a smart one, so I could log into our streaming apps, and there was a microwave and a fridge with a freezer. Absolutely fantastic.

Had a great stay. The rooms were clean and really nice, and the front desk staff were so kind and helpful. Definitely recommend.
