Econo Lodge Kingsland

Breakfast is limited, but there was enough to get moving. The bagels were awful, though, and they should get them somewhere else. For food nearby, I'd drive a couple miles into Kingsland to Steffens diner. I've eaten there many times, and the food is homemade and the servers are great. I'll keep going back. The motel itself is no frills and a pretty good value. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was fine. Some of the trim work was rough, and while the deadbolt worked, the security catch on the door was broken. There are plenty of food options close by.

This one's hit and miss. The AC wasn't working in my room, and the fan kept cycling on and off all night even though it was 87 degrees outside. There was a dehumidifier in the room too, which was the first sign the AC unit might be bad.

I'd stay here again. My room was clean, the beds were okay, and my only gripe is that they could use a few more TV channels.

The front desk woman had a bad attitude and said they were allowed to do this. I might not stay for the week because of it. I'd checked in late the night before, and before 9 a.m., while I was asleep, the cleaner tried to come into my room to change towels and turn down the bed. Check-out wasn't until 11, and I had a DND sign on the door. They knocked and tried to walk in without saying it was room service. I told them I was paying for my stay and expected professional treatment as a guest staying for a week. They still wanted to defend their policy, even though there were only five cars in the whole lot. The way I was treated after just one night was unprofessional, and disturbing my sleep to change towels was too.
