The rooms smelled awful, so we left. We’d been assigned one at the back while the property was being renovated, which wasn’t a problem by itself, but building supplies and furniture were scattered along the back walkways and in the parking lot. The place looked sketchy when we drove up. The desk agent told us to call Choice Hotels customer service. They said they’d contact the GM and try to get our money refunded, but the GM turned out to be that same desk agent who had denied it. If you need a hotel in Kinsten, don’t stay here.

I was in town for a funeral and chose Quality Inn, despite the many bad reviews about the town. For a one night stop just to sleep, it was what I expected: friendly staff, a clean room, bed, TV, and bathroom. This is a motel for a temporary night's rest, not the Waldorf Astoria in NY. I had no problems at all, and people writing bad reviews are making too much of it.

The mattress was great and I slept well. The place had problems, though: it’s being remodeled, the walkways and sidewalk were so filthy I cringed walking on them, and smoke from other occupants smoking weed came through our vent. I hope it gets better in the future.

My husband and I stayed Thursday 5/22 in Quality Inn, on the first level, left side around the middle of the building, in a room with one king bed and a sofa, maybe room 108. In the middle of the night I woke up with painful spots on my toes, feet, hands, and elbow. Could they have been fleas or bedbugs? I thought this was a no pets place. I’ll never stay here again, and I can provide pictures of the bites all over me.

The property was really clean, and I was surprised they served breakfast too. I especially liked the night shift Agent's service. I liked the place overall.
