The room was nice and the staff were pleasant, but I needed a working business center and this one wasn’t usable. The online photos show computers and printers, yet when I got there, there were no computers and the printer wasn’t even hooked up. I booked at the last minute. I’m a Hilton Gold member and also in the IGH loyalty program, though I usually prefer Hilton. If I’d known, I would have stayed at one of the IHG properties in Kirksville with a functional business center. That’s why I’m giving two stars.

Breakfast gets everyone in my family going with full stomachs, and it’s A+ with something for everyone. The staff are always great too. My Hilton Honors account and the app updates make me feel welcomed and appreciated when I see the message on the TV as I first walk into the room. Thanks, Hilton/Hampton Inn Kirksville, for another great stay.

The free breakfast each morning and the heated pool were highlights, and the location was great. I was nervous about my first visit to Kirksville, but the hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My room was clean when I arrived, and the staff accommodated my early check-in. One small drawback: the suite bathroom had a sliding door that didn’t lock, and there was no bathroom fan. I had a great stay and will most likely return if I’m back.

I had planned to stay five nights, but an unexpected death meant I had to leave Monday instead of Wednesday. I checked out before 11am, and still they refused to credit me for that night. I explained the situation to the manager and understood the 24-hour cancellation policy, but asked for a one-time courtesy since I was leaving before checkout time. The location was sold out, so filling the room shouldn’t have been a problem. There was no compassion, and I won’t stay here again. They also triple the price at certain times of year. Horrible.

I travel for work and picked this place after seeing the good reviews. The room was nice and clean, and Clayton was great with customer service. He even laughed at my complimentary Rolls-Royce and Bentley jokes. Great place.
