Banyan Hotel & MicroSuites

Marlena got us checked in quickly and was friendly. The room seemed recently remodeled, and the bed was comfortable, so we had a decent stay. The floor could've been swept better, though. I could feel dirt underfoot and kept my flip-flops on. There was no fitted sheet, just a sheet and blanket. The sink kept backing up even when we weren't using it, which was gross. At least the toilet and shower were clean.

I was glad the bed was comfortable and the staff were kind, but what an unorganized mess. We were told only one room was available, even though the parking lot was nearly empty. We got there around 6:30 for a 4 p.m. check-in and waited 40 minutes. They were badly understaffed, and rooms were still dirty. They couldn't find rooms for guests with reservations and had to leave the desk to check which ones were ready. Finally getting into our room, it smelled terrible. Walking past piles of dirty linens outside room after room wasn't appealing either. The continental breakfast looked a little scary and unorganized. At $184 a night, I expected much more. I'm just thankful we stayed only long enough to sleep.

A good value, with clean wood floors, laundry facilities, and accommodating staff. The rooms are spacious and have refrigerators and microwaves, and the breakfast was decent, with hot waffles. Joe in the breakfast dining area was busy but always smiling. There are amusement parks and lots of restaurants nearby, and we'd recommend the hotel and stay again. A few small inconveniences: no closet or room phones, and you have to request daily cleaning. Still, it had everything we needed at a great price. Thank you!

We had the best hotel stay and will be back. The rooms were well kept and super clean, and the beds and linens were very satisfactory. The bathroom and pool were clean too. Cynthia at the front desk was super sweet and helpful, always smiling and in a great mood. Marlena, the GM, is a sweetheart who made sure we were looked after and enjoyed our stay. Santo, the security manager, was always on point and took care of our needs.
