Budget Host Inn

My husband and I stayed from mid-July to early October and were very happy with it. The pool was amazing and, from what we saw, serviced about every other day. There was plenty of parking, and the rooms were clean and bug-free. It was quiet at night and mostly quiet during the day. Everyone, from the owner to the cleaning staff, was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our only complaint was the overwhelming marijuana smell that occasionally got into our room. We’d definitely stay again.

We had to get to Orlando a day before our VRBO booking and arrived at 3 a.m., so we needed an affordable, clean, pet-friendly place where we could get some sleep and check out late. I was nervous because the reviews were so mixed, but our stay was great. The beds were very comfortable, clean, and starched, and the room was really clean. No one gave us grief about our well-behaved dog, which was a relief since some hotels can be ridiculous about pets. The noon checkout was perfect, and the day manager even gave us another 30 minutes after our long drive. We’ll be back if we need somewhere to sleep when we arrive in Orlando for my daughter’s cheer competitions.

We always choose Red Roof because we can bring our dog. The staff were lovely. I think the front desk guy was named Kris, what a light. They’re lucky to have someone so kind and positive. The women were kind and accommodating too, and let us change rooms because my dog had trouble with the stairs. This location is only 25 minutes from Universal, and it’s much better than the closer one in Southpoint, where we’ll never stay again. We’ll keep coming back here for our Orlando trips. Thanks!

Front office service was really quick. The beds and bathroom were clean, but the floor had a lot of hair and dust. Even though our room was marked non-smoking, there was a strong cigarette smell. The next day I noticed a weird smell coming from the bathroom vent, like the cigarette smell, so it seemed to be connected throughout. Housekeeping never came, not even once. For the price, I’d still say it’s better than other hotels and motels down the road.
