Hampton Inn By Hilton Kissimmee North

Lavita at the service desk made our honeymoon trip extra sweet. When we were leaving the morning after our wedding night at the Hampton Inn Kissimmee, she gave us a bag of snacks for the trip and was so kind she stole my heart. The front desk staff were also very friendly when we arrived and made us feel special. It was a lovely stay, with good prices and a convenient spot near restaurants and shops. I highly recommend it.

I’ve stayed here about 10 times in the past six months and spent 2k with Hilton in the last five months alone. I have Gold status and switched from Marriott Platinum last year because Hilton promised better customer service. I travel all the time and expect a brand to value loyalty. This stay was the last straw. I asked for a 1 pm late checkout so I could finish a work meeting, but the night manager refused, saying the hotel was sold out. Online, several rooms were available, and I heard him tell someone else that rooms were available. Marriott always granted my requests. After this treatment, Hampton by Hilton has lost my business. Absolutely ridiculous.

The location was fine, within walking distance of a mall area with restaurants, coffee, and shops. But the room was very loud because of several fans, and one couldn’t be switched off. When I asked reception how to stop it, they said the hotel was old and the filters had to keep running since Covid time as required by law, or so they said. The front desk was unhelpful and couldn’t even offer simple nearby dinner recommendations.

The room was clean and good. It smelled moldy when I arrived, but the front desk attendant apologized and quickly moved me to another room. The shower was adequate, though it could use a little more pressure.
