Impeccably Clean and Cozy Hotel Room

The beds were comfortable, and both the location and staff were great. Other guests weren’t considerate about their noise, though. The room didn’t have the iron, ironing board, or hair dryer promised on the website. When we asked, the front desk did give us an iron. Aside from that, we’d recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, very affordable stay.

We searched hundreds of hotels for a good-value place near Disney and were pleasantly surprised by this one. We’d happily return. The room was a good size, the shower was hot and worked well with good pressure, and the TV, spotless microwave, and powerful hairdryer all worked. The beds were freshly made, towels were provided, and the sink and mirror were clean. Staff were lovely, breakfast was good and refilled when it ran out, and we heard no noise from neighboring rooms even though the hotel was full. Shampoo and shower gel were supplied in the shower. We also visited the pool one afternoon and enjoyed it. You can book the Disney shuttle, and late checkout costs $20 an hour. The guests and staff were kind. There were two big garbage bags and an open pizza box with half a pizza balanced on top right outside our door when we arrived. I carried it to the bins myself. Some bugs kept appearing in the room. They were bigger than mosquitoes and didn’t buzz, and I think they came from the sink drain. Maybe bleach down the drain would help. The room was a bit grimy but livable for the price. The walls, ledges, and baseboards needed a deep clean, and I’d guess it hadn’t been done in over a year. When I tried to raise the blackout blind for some light, I disturbed insect webs and nests. It was clear the blind and area around the window hadn’t been cleaned or touched in years, so we left it down the whole week and had no natural light. I’m surprised housekeeping doesn’t have that on a schedule. We booked through booking.com, and the fee said it included a refundable $100 deposit. That seems misleading because the hotel asked us for another deposit at check-in, and booking.com never returned anything after the stay. Keep in mind it may cost $100 more than the booking.com price suggests. Getting the hotel’s second deposit back was no problem. I think I left the room cleaner than we found it, and I’d brought some cleaning supplies with me. For a very budget stay, it exceeded my expectations and gave us what we needed. This is a decent cheap place to sleep if you don’t expect much. It’s quiet and has a free shuttle bus to Disney, but it won’t suit you if you’re picky or expecting a five-star hotel. The breakfast is just cereal, juice, and bread. The fridge didn’t work and leaked water everywhere. The beds’ bottoms need fixing too: I have a two-year-old, and we had to put something in front of one bed so she wouldn’t get cut by its corner. We stayed five days and the room was cleaned only once, and I had to ask for fresh towels. You get what you pay for.

I booked here because I’d had a good stay at this hotel brand somewhere else. This location was a shock. The room was dirty and felt damp, and the “continental breakfast” turned out to be just milk and bagels, which was misleading. We had confirmed a room for four, but were given one for two and told the hotel was sold out. That was really disappointing, especially after booking ahead. I hope management sorts these problems out, because this place didn’t match the standard I’d experienced before.
