This HOA group is a close circle and seems to have spent more on lawyers than on neighborhood improvements, even though previous associations appeared to avoid that. They can be overbearing, have exceeded their legal authority before, and seem more focused on minor rules than bringing residents together or improving the neighborhood.
Curb address numbers aren’t required, but they help 911 crews find homes at night, when headlights shine right over them and many calls happen. Spending $15 per home seems minimal for something that could save lives. If the HOA won’t arrange it, residents can sign up individually for $19.95 each, which is 33% off. The service can’t be ordered one home at a time because a round trip for a single house costs too much, which is why the HOA needs to coordinate it. And yes, County Ordinance requires address numbers on homes. That’s what my reply to Kirk’s review was about. Get it?
Why not put the discounted address numbers on the curb where 911 headlights can catch them after dark? Most residents have numbers on their homes, but that doesn’t help as much at night. They’re minimally priced and useful for emergency calls. If the HOA pays, it’s 50% off, or residents can sign up through the HOA’s link and get 33% off, at $19.95 each. I agree with Kirk and would like the HOA to arrange it. In response to Kirk, if the HOA can’t cover $15 per residence, each resident can still opt in. What is there to lose?
I spent about 13 years of my life living here. It’s a wonderful place, with friendly people, a great park and nice views. I never felt threatened, and schools and a grocery center are close by.
