The room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. We stayed in the Steel Horse Room. The bed was an uncomfortable blow up air mattress, and the thermostat had been set automatically to 75°. They adjusted it after I raised the issue, which was good. The owners didn’t ask how things were going when we crossed paths a few times, and we didn’t get the warm welcome other guests described. The owner let his dogs come up to us, very excited and apparently out of control. He quickly shouted “Dumb and Dumber” at them, not their names, and told them to sit. This happened twice during our two days there, so it felt like it might have been for attention. The owners seemed to lack hospitality experience. The older gentleman sat with us and another couple, but he wasn’t friendly and things felt awkward. The food was extremely lackluster, unlikely to meet expectations, and a hotel would offer better quality and quantity. The kitchen looked disheveled rather than clean like a restaurant. There was also a faint urine smell in the living room that we’re sure the owners don’t know about. The yard and porch need basic tidying for a better first impression. The metal sculptures were mediocre, which is why I hadn’t heard of the “artist” before finding the place online. Two old vehicles and a run down boat took up the guest parking area. I understand the classic look, but guests need more space, and that broken down boat should go. It’s starting to look like a scrap yard. On Thanksgiving night, my dad came over to chat in the living room. At 10:04 p.m., the lady owner spoke to us like children about quiet hours starting at 10. I understand the rule, but her tone was extremely condescending. It was a holiday night, and they could’ve let us relax a little. We booked based on welcoming reviews and a four or five star rating, but didn’t feel welcomed and found a two star setup. With all the flaws, we could’ve still enjoyed ourselves if the owners had been nice. They were distant and short with us, so there’s no point trying to raise these concerns with them. I can guarantee the review won’t get a response with solutions or apologies, and the B&B won’t improve. Look at other reviews for the excuses and replies. A little hospitality would have made all the difference. We clearly weren’t the only ones who had this experience. Update: After the owners read this, their long, condescending reply full of excuses disappeared. Negative reviews seem to get a short, condescending novel from the owner with excuses and no solution or apology. Let’s see whether that pattern continues.

We came back for Thanksgiving 2025 and had another lovely visit. Tom and Christi make us feel at home every time, and breakfast is always delicious. Conversation with the hosts and other guests just flows. The historic B&B is a short walk from downtown Kissimmee’s shops and restaurants. We always choose the spacious, comfortable Verona Room, and we’ll be back for our fifth stay in mid-December.

The kitchen was filthy, which is no small thing when food safety could be involved. We would have talked it through with the owners, but they seemed put off by us, and that left us feeling the same way about them. We honestly didn't realize we were making mistakes and we're sincerely sorry for causing them so much grief. Still, when owners answer bad reviews with sarcasm, backhanded excuses aimed at guests, and no real solution or accountability, it makes me hope they'll learn some self-reflection before their businesses fail. In the meantime, don't spend your money here like we did.

The owners are such kind, fantastic people, and the house feels warm and welcoming. I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, but I'd absolutely come back. There are antiques throughout the quaint house and grounds, and the breakfast was fantastic. The yard is beautiful, full of trees, flowers, and pineapple plants, with bumblebees, butterflies, and anoles darting around. Definitely worth the stay.

Tom and Christi made us feel at home, and their place has to be one of the best B&Bs we've visited for that and its amenities. It's a lovely home with so much history, art, and warmth, and it's an easy walk to historic downtown Kissimmee. Breakfast was tasty and suited us well after we asked for protein. Christi's art inside and outside is playful and creative. We look forward to going back.
