Laguna Bay Apartments

It's close to Disney, but the place needs updating and the buildings feel rundown. The condo construction isn't great either. Walking across the living room made the whole house shake. It was okay at best, and we wouldn't stay there again.

The location could work for a Florida trip if you want to be near the attractions, and the clubhouse looks decent at first. But the condo has cheap materials and cheap furnishings, and the clubhouse hasn't been kept up. The pool table was missing balls, and none of the cues had felt tips, yet they charge a dollar per game. A dollar isn't much if the equipment is in good shape, but this is a clubhouse, not a bar. It says a lot about how little the owners seem to spend on upkeep. You get what you pay for.

The place could use some updating and TLC, but it was very clean and had great air conditioning and a nice pool. Getting around was easy, with Disney Parks nearby, along with great shopping, dining, takeout, flea markets, and OldTown.

The location was great, just a short ride from the main parks, and they had a security guy out front of the pool house. The price was very good, though it gave a pretty fair idea of what to expect. The pool was NOT HEATED, despite other posts saying it was. The dumpster was overflowing, and I had to try to cram other people's trash into it before it got run over. The faucets took so much effort to operate that I thought the shower wouldn't turn on; when it finally did, I struggled to pull it. I'm 6' and 250 lbs, lol. They charged $85 for cleaning, and whatever cleaner they used left a smell that hung around for two days. It really bothered our friend who came with us.
