The location worked for our plan to be near Disney, and there were plenty of restaurants about 5 to 10 minutes away, though none on the property. We stayed a week with four adults while celebrating our third anniversary. On the first night, my cousin woke up with back pain, and my husband and I found a dead bedbug. The staff apologized, moved us right away, and offered to clean our clothes for free. We didn’t find bugs in the new room, but the beds were so uncomfortable that we still couldn’t sleep well and woke up sore. The place feels dated and needs a major upgrade. We made the best of the trip, but we won’t be back.

The buildings are freshly painted and well cared for, and the rooms were better than I expected from a three-star place. Some of the furniture is worn, which wasn’t a surprise. I’d come back.

At 5:30 in the morning, someone started knocking on our windows. It turned out to be a man trying to get into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment. That was alarming, especially with a gated entrance and security cameras everywhere. The location itself was beautiful, but we didn’t feel safe and left.

We were comparing where to spend our points, and the check-in at Calypso Cay really stood out. Myra at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and the rooms, amenities, and pools are all part of why this is the place we enjoy most.

Our apartment was in excellent condition and had everything we needed. The hot water and A/C both worked flawlessly. The pools and spa were included, and they were very clean, with access from 9am to 10pm. It’s a very nice location.
