Runaway Beach Condo by Orlando Short Term

We spent four hours trying to get into our room after arriving at 3:30pm. We had never received the room number or entry code, and there was no front desk to ask. Every number we found either led to a sales pitch or someone who couldn’t locate the reservation, booking number, or even our name. My booking company was the one that finally got us sorted out, after worrying about our group of eight, including three young children who needed to eat, bathe, and get settled. Nobody from the resort has contacted us to apologize. The room itself isn’t bad, but the toaster burns whatever you put in it, the channel selection is poor, and we couldn’t connect our own streaming devices. The pool hours were only noon to 6, the water wasn’t heated, and there was no jacuzzi. The tiki hut looked like a boarded-up barn, there wasn’t a single chair by the pool, and we only got access after my Spanish-speaking son-in-law talked to the staff because we hadn’t received the pool code. I’m trying to make calls to get out of here and find somewhere else to enjoy what’s left of our vacation, even if I lose all the money. That’s how bad it is. F this place, y’all!

Renovations here seem out of control, and the place is badly disorganized. Staying in what feels like an unhealthy environment is a hazard. They take your money and then refuse refunds, even when conditions are terrible. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews, they weren’t written recently.

I wasn’t happy with the layout. There’s nowhere on the grounds to get a drink or bottled water, and the pool can be a long walk depending on where your room is. There’s really nothing close to the rooms.

The location was great, but the house wasn’t updated. The TV didn’t work well and the rugs were dirty. My bed broke on the first day and was never fixed.
