Sunshine Inn

I booked this for a solo trip after seeing it among the first hotels.com search results, with an 8.5 review. The price seemed very reasonable, and it is affordable. I was new to the area, and the location turned out to be great. The staff welcomed me warmly when I arrived and got me a first-floor room because of my foot injury. Housekeeping was friendly when I asked for an extra pillow, too. The room was very clean, even the shower, and smelled wonderful with no musty odor. The bed was super comfy. I'm picky about hotel cleanliness and the surrounding area, and I felt welcomed here. You'll love staying here.

Nothing fancy, just a basic room. Feels more suited to truckers, and I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic stay.

We came back for our second stay, and the person at check-in remembered my husband from more than a year ago. Funny enough, they put us in the same room. It's a comfortable, clean place with nice staff, good for a quiet stay, though it's not five-star luxury. There's no yelling, screaming, or loud music. A helicopter tour runs nearby, but it shuts down pretty early and is barely audible inside. The beds are firmer than I'd like, but clean, with no bugs or dirt around the room. Each side has a nightstand with a drawer and cubby, plus a working lamp, and there's a big standing lamp in the corner for lighting the whole room. The half mini fridge works almost too well, it can freeze cans of soda on the little door shelf. The bathroom is small, and the tub/shower is nothing special, but it's clean, with plenty of hot water and good pressure.

I like this place. I feel safe here, and it's clean, calm, and strict in a way I love. The good people at the front office help us a lot. Thank you.
