Super 8 by Wyndham Kissimmee

I drove 8 hours from SC and still didn't get to stay. I'd called at 7:24pm to speak with the manager and tell him I wouldn't arrive until just after 3am. After waiting in line, I heard the employee tell the people ahead of me, "this room just cancelled its the last room." I assumed I still had my reservation and said nothing. When it was my turn, they told me mine had been cancelled. I showed the employee that I'd called to confirm the reservation and make sure my room was still open, but he didn't care. I believe that employee was cancelling reservations to make some extra cash for himself or the hotel, and he was extremely nasty and rude. I haven't called corporate yet, but I certainly will. I've often stayed at Super 8s because they're fairly priced and always very clean, and I've never had trouble at other ones. Their staff have always accommodated late check-ins, but this has me reconsidering. I will NEVER give this place my money, and be careful when you book. BUYER BEWARE.

My girls and I were displaced by hurricane Ian, so there were very few, if any, places we could stay. Some of the housekeepers were kind, and the maintenance guys were awesome, but the room smelled bad and had roaches. The receptionist's demeanor was as nasty as the rooms. One morning, when I went to pay as I did every morning, she said she was over-booked. I asked if she'd booked my room without me even checking out yet, and she said I should've made a reservation. Disgusting. Why do that to a family already in a hard situation? I'd never hire someone like that to run a business. NEVER EVER!!

We lasted only an hour before leaving, and they wouldn't refund us because my son threw up in the bed. He got sick, literally all over it, after cockroaches crawled on us while we slept. The place was so disgusting it made him ill. We had no choice but to sleep in our van because we couldn't afford another hotel room. If they'd kept the place clean, there wouldn't have been cockroaches to make him sick. I'll pursue stronger measures to get our money back. Does anyone know a good news channel that can shed light on this disgusting establishment?

The employees were really friendly and helpful, and our suite was big and clean, though a little old. It's a 30 min drive from Disney, but the price is okay. I'd recommend staying a few days. The pool is small, and breakfast only has bread and cereal.
