The Enterprise Maingate Motel

I usually stay at Marriott hotels because I'm a Marriott rewards member, but they were all $300-$500 a night that weekend. I was just passing through and needed a place to sleep before getting back on the road the next morning. This place was horrible. The smell of cigarette smoke and weed hit me as soon as I arrived. In the room, the sheets didn't smell washed, and the towels hanging behind the bathroom door looked used. There were barely any toiletries, the AC kicked on now and then with a loud noise that made it hard to fall asleep, and the TV had few channels and no apps. The comforter was ripped and had holes. This might work for a quick stop before leaving the next day, but I wouldn't stay several days. Go to Walmart down the street and buy your own sheets. Don't stay here with kids or family.

The staff were helpful and nice, and I found the place very comfortable. Thanks for giving me the best rest I've had in a while. I'd recommend it as a place to stop and rest.

The smell hit us as soon as we opened the door, and nothing about the rooms was clean. My girlfriend, my parents, and I had booked two rooms. The towels in ours had blood on them, the sheets were stained, and just touching the comforter left a smell on my hands. My parents even found someone else's panties behind the toilet in their room. It seemed like everything had been unplugged to save on electricity. When we told the person on duty, they just said, “Oh well.” We left at 3:30 am instead of staying the whole night. They refused even a partial refund and wouldn't give us the owner's number, just shrugged.

EDIT: We stayed again this week and there were cockroaches everywhere. Won't be back. The price went from $50 to $75 a night. The floors and furniture are new, but there are still roaches, peeling paint, and the room smelled of smoke. Something about the dirty AC filter, or whatever it was, made my allergies bad. The sheets looked clean, but the bathroom floor towel had marks all over it, like it had been stepped on and then folded onto the tub. I forgot to take a picture, though you can kind of see it in one photo. If you just need somewhere for a couple nights, it's okay, but bring lots of allergy medicine. There were many people hanging around who looked like they might be dealers. One plus, the hotel is right on the bus line.
