Villas at Fortune Place

We called before booking and learned they’d remodeled, with more room furniture still being replaced. The pool area looked really nice, though the weather was so cold during our week there that we didn’t use it or enjoy anything outdoors. Staff were consistently kind and helpful. Our table and chairs were older, and one bench broke when my dad sat down. They replaced it right away and said they’re getting steel tables and chairs next. Give them a chance.

The villas are a little dated, but still a good place to stay. We didn't like the room we were first given, and they let us look through three different villas and pick one. The service was some of the best I've had on vacation in Florida over the years. I called the front desk with a few requests, and they did their best to make sure my family had what we needed.

There's a workout room, pools, and a grocery store nearby, and the place is clean. Benny wongs is close too. It may only have a 3.8 rating on Google maps, but I'd give it a 5. I think my parents would absolutely love staying here. To me, it seems geared toward an older crowd.

I wouldn't stay here again. The bathroom fans are very loud, the toilets need a forceful flush, and the shower pressure is low. The kitchen has cheap cabinets and appliances, and Universal Studios is more than 40 minutes away. Then there's the noise: close to midnight, I still couldn't sleep because of loud bass music from a nearby bar. I called the police, and they just told me the bar closes at 2 a.m. I had to get up early to drive back toward NYC.
