We spent early mornings on the deck, enjoying the natural setting, and played some of the board games kept at the Inn in the evenings. The home feels tucked away among the trees on a large waterfront lot, though it’s close to amenities. Linda welcomed us warmly, made sure we were comfortable and suggested Ocean Boulevard for dinner. Greg shared local knowledge of the greater Outer Banks region the next morning, and following several of his suggestions made for a lovely day of exploring. The home is full of charm, and our hosts were gracious. A wonderful trip.

I chose this gorgeous handmade inn for my honeymoon, mainly for the fantastic views. It was convenient, the host was friendly, and our room was clean and stocked. The rooms each have their own character while fitting the inn’s style, and the shared porch has private spaces. It felt romantic and scenic, with a lovely connection to the Outer Banks wildlife. I especially loved seeing deer around the inn. My husband and I had a perfect stay. Thank you, we’ll be back!

For the price, I can’t fault my stay at the cypress moon inn. The sound-side view from the balcony is lovely, and the simple breakfast of fruit and muffins was refreshed daily, just right to start the day. Walmart is nearby if you’ve forgotten anything. Greg is delightful to talk with, and he built the house himself. Free bikes are available for riding to the beach, and there are kayaks for the lake behind the house. The only thing I might have wanted was a microwave, but it didn’t bother me given how nice the place is.

The peaceful setting on the Currituck Sound made this an ideal place to unwind from everyday hustle and bustle. We were blown away by the atmosphere and hospitality, and the sunsets were magnificent. Cypress Moon Inn is a wonderful getaway for an anniversary or simply some time to unplug.

The sound and sunset views to the west were beautiful, and our room had a comfortable bed and antique furniture. We lucked out with the weather and kept the windows open the whole time, enjoying the breeze, birds and water. Greg and Linda were very nice. We were staying elsewhere for a few nights because the beach house we shared with family this summer wasn’t big enough for everyone, and choosing this place was a great decision. We’ll plan to stay here for a few nights each summer during our big family beach trip.
