Alaska Glacier Lodge

Our room was quiet, comfortable, and clean, and the whole hotel looked spotless, well cared for, and nicely decorated. What stood out most was the help we got after arriving with a flat tire. Staff stepped in within minutes and got things sorted quickly and professionally. They were incredibly kind, and we really appreciated it. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend!

The helicopter tours leaving from the property are a must do. We also loved the cozy, clean rooms, and the deck and restaurant area were a great place to unwind at the end of the day. It's on the outskirts, but the setting is really pretty, with amazing views.

A good spot to sleep before catching a helicopter, but I wouldn't choose it otherwise. The drive to town for decent food or drinks is long. At dinner and in the bar, everything was disposable, and they had even run out of plastic cups. There was no canned or bottled beer, so the taps were useless. Staff couldn't answer my questions. I brought a beer from my room, then was told to leave the deck area. That was fair, but at $350, the place felt like it had no class.

The area around the lodge is beautiful, and the cabins are lovely and really comfortable. My kids especially enjoyed watching the helicopters from the porch. Staff weren't especially friendly, though breakfast was great, with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, muffins, fruit, and toast. I'd recommend staying here!
