Laci's Country Inn

The room cost $71 and was disgusting, with only marginal cleanliness. It smelled stale and musty, and the bathroom smelled like someone had recently smoked in it. The light bulb was so dim, the TV and an electrical outlet didn't work, and I had trouble getting the door to lock until I got help.

The service was great and the location pretty good, but the room was sweltering after being without AC all day in 90-plus-degree heat. The listed 40-inch flat screen didn't work either. Sorry, I won't be back.

The price was fair, and the room worked for my weekend visit with my parents. I checked it before agreeing to pay and would do that again if I returned. It's an older motel and below my usual standards, though fairly clean. The bed was okay, but the sheet had a visible stain. The clean microwave and fridge were fine, and using the TV's controls for volume wasn't a big deal. The bathroom was basic, with a tub and shower and a small sink, but the water pressure and temperature were adequate. The brown towels were unusual, but they were fresh and clean. I might stay again.

I liked the scenic shades, but our door wouldn't lock and the TV didn't work. She offered late checkout, which we didn't want because we were on a schedule. There was no refund or partial discount offered.
