Homewood Suites by Hilton Knoxville West at Turkey Creek

James, one of the maintenance guys, really went out of his way for my wife and me. After a long drive, we headed to the lobby for coffee, only to find it cold. The juice machine was off too. James noticed and offered lemonade, then brought us fresh hot coffee. He stayed to chat and tell us about the area. His hospitality made us feel at home, and we’re grateful. Give that man a raise. It’s hard to find people who genuinely care. Thank you, James! This is a great little hotel for an overnight stop, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We brought our small dog and appreciated the spot near one of the exits where we could take him out, with a poo bag station right there.

The suite had a separate bedroom, plus a desk, table, and couch that folds out into a bed. It also came with a full refrigerator, dishwasher, two stove burners, and wireless charging. The room was clean and breakfast was great. It could use some more updating, but we’d stay again. The staff were all friendly. The location worked really well, near Walmart, a hospital, a pharmacy, lots of shopping and restaurants, and only a 20 minute drive downtown. The pool and basketball hoop were outside.

Kayla was especially wonderful and personable. She gave me just the pep I needed before a job interview. The staff were incredible, the rooms were perfect, and the whole experience was amazing!

We’ve stayed at several Homewood Suites around the country, and this one doesn’t come close to their quality or live up to the Hilton name. It’s an older property that needs updating, the suites are tiny, and our room had a strange smell. I’d avoid this location and pick another property. The cleaning service had left the previous guests’ trash, missed vacuuming, and left a random pill in the bathroom that my dog almost picked up. There was also a noodle and a Splenda packet in plain sight. I had to ask the front desk for a Clorox wipe to clean the room. I handed the clerk the two full trash cans, expecting him to empty them and bring them back. He kept them. All he said while handing over the wipes was “sorry.” On day two, I tried to relax in the tub, but it wouldn’t even hold water.
