Inn of Knoxville

The on-site management is very responsive. They’re still doing a lot of maintenance, since finding workers is a challenge these days.

This was one of the worst motels ever. I wasn’t expecting a five-star hotel for the price and location, but this place should be shut down. I found a needle with drugs still in it on the floor, and my daughter almost stepped on it. There was also a broken crack pipe right by the foot of the bed. I took what I found downstairs in a paper towel and told the owner my four-year-old had nearly stepped on the needle. He said it wasn’t his fault if the maids hadn’t cleaned, even though he owns the motel. After we argued, he threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave, and gave me no refund. Then at 2 a.m. someone knocked loudly on the door. It was a woman who seemed drugged, and we couldn’t understand what she was saying. Worst motel ever.

It’s not a bad place to rest, though it’s dated and could use some upgrades. Some rooms do have bed bugs. It wasn’t especially noisy apart from the highway, and I wish they’d reopen the restaurant on the property.

Updating this because they’ve double charged us, and calling has done nothing. We’ve been hung up on several times. There are also 15 registered sex offenders living at this hotel. Beware. The man who checked us in is not the owner, who has been awful to us. The place looked nothing like the pictures and was pretty awful. We didn’t feel safe, but the staff were actually nice and accommodating, especially the guy who checked us in. At least we had a bed, a shower, and cold AC, so it was fine.
