Kohl's Ranch Lodge

The porch had a beautiful view, and the staff were friendly. We booked a two-bedroom cabin for seven of us, including five teenage boys, for a birthday celebration, and it fit us perfectly. The kids were thrilled with the lobby’s hot chocolate station. The kitchen had plenty of room, though there weren’t many pots and pans, and one pan was so bowed that cooking got interesting. Wi-Fi can be unreliable. I’d absolutely come back.

The rooms are so comfortable, and we could hear the creek from our balcony. I came once before with my daughter on a girls’ trip and loved it, so I returned with my husband this weekend and got to explore more, including the bar and pool. The location is beautiful, and the atmosphere feels like heaven. The bar and front desk staff were amazing and so helpful. We’ve tried a lot of cabins in Payson, and this is our favorite so far. The restaurant food is great too. It was a much-needed, lovely weekend, and I’ll be back again and again. Love this place!

After more than 20 years of family visits, we still love the peaceful setting, tall pines, mountain views, and creek at Kohl’s Ranch. It has the fun of a cabin stay without the work, and there’s plenty of hiking nearby. Coming back to the pool and hot tub after a long day on the trails is perfect. The on-site restaurant is a nice bonus, especially the BBQ brisket and peach cobbler. Andre manages the property exceptionally well. Morgan, Jenn, Heather, Debi, Gisella, and the rest of the team made this stay special, as they always do. We’ve had a fantastic experience every time.

We loved how clean and quiet it was, tucked away in the woods. The staff were friendly and answered all our questions right away. The restaurant being closed on Monday and Tuesday was a bummer, but our room had a stove, pots, and pans, so we were fine. I’m sure the food would have been awesome if it had been open. We’ll have to come back and try it. If you like staying in the woods, this place is awesome.
