Best Western Kokomo Hotel

My room was spacious, the TVs were nice, and I didn't feel gross sitting down. The rooms were kept up, the property was clean, and the internet stayed stable. I travel a lot, and this was a clean place. I'd stay again.

The room had a microwave, a decent-sized fridge, a clothes steamer, a coffee maker, and two complimentary bottles of water, and Jason was genuinely nice. He went above and beyond to bring us extra pillows and clearly cares about guests. The room itself felt overpriced at $84 for what seemed like a $50 room. It was beat up: deep scratches on the door frames, plumber's tape showing in the shower, a dirty tub, black mold on the windowsill, worn floors, and a water-damaged corner with a sloppy plaster cover-up. The bed looked better than it felt, and I got no sleep because it was so uncomfortable. The indoor pool was out of service, and there were no biscuits and gravy. I'd chosen it for the breakfast other reviews praised, but it was now basic and nothing special. The toilets are low-flow, and I'd guess the hotel is maybe two stars. I came for a funeral and was exhausted for the rest of the day. I complained, but felt scammed because I don't think their policy allows a discount or refund no matter what happens. I absolutely don't recommend staying here. The people are great, but the room isn't. I'll contact the Best Western Corporate Franchise Group about the substandard quality while using their name. I have nearly 3 million review views, so my loss is your gain: now you know where not to stay. Buyer beware.

I made a last-minute stop and got a $76 rate including tax through a third party. They upgraded me to a suite without me asking. It was large, clean, and nicely furnished, with granite counters, two TVs, and good towels. The area was quiet and well located, the property has nice updates, and the service was friendly and comfortable. At that rate, it was a great value and one of my favorite places in Kokomo.

I don't usually like hotels and expect a bad stay, but I was fine here. It's a calm place off the main road, with parking right out front. Check-in was easy, and the guy at the desk was nice, quick, and to the point, with a few jokes thrown in. The room was clean, with no bugs or other nonsense, soft beds, and towels that didn't seem reused. I put the privacy sign on the door and wasn't disturbed once during my week of work training. This place is okay in my book.
