The hotel restaurant was a real highlight, and the meals were great. You can dine there with a reservation or get takeout. The place felt updated inside, with lovely views of the Bering Sea, and it was quiet in the evenings. It's an easy walk to several restaurants and the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center, and the airport is under a 15-minute walk or about a 5-minute cab ride. Since it's the only hotel in Kotzebue, I wasn't sure what to expect, but my three-night stay was well worth it. Great times.

Our ocean view was lovely, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredible and accommodating, especially when our flight was delayed. They let us wait in their lounge. A really nice place to stay in the hub of Kotzebue.

The Wi-Fi was the one drawback. Connection was an issue across the whole "almost island," though it did mean I got less work done in my room. I loved the staff and restaurant, and they took care to make sure my food was safe with celiacs. The garlic shrimp were yum! My fourth-floor room also had a view of the Arctic ocean. Still five stars.

The view is pretty, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, especially for such a remote spot. The people were very nice, and the restaurant is one of the few in town. The food was pretty good, but make a reservation. I gave the location a 5 because this is the only hotel in Kotzebue.

We had a few issues with the keys not working in the elevator, but it was still a nice stay during our trek to two remote national parks. The restaurant meals were always delicious, though you'll need a reservation. We were within walking distance of NPS Northwest Arctic Heritage Center and the airport, and staff helped call taxis when we needed one. Housekeeping came each day, which is rare now. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. This was the best accommodation we had during our two-week trip to Alaska.
