Motel 6 McAlester, OK

The front desk lady was really nice, but the lobby smelled awful and the place felt sketchy from the start. The main light in our room didn’t work. When I pulled back the covers, the first bed had a couple of dime-sized blood smears, even though the bedding looked washed. The second bed had much bigger stains on the sheets and blankets, plus hairs. The room was beat up and smelled like a wet dog. I was so disgusted that we didn’t bother looking around or touching anything else. We just walked straight out without stopping to ask for a refund. I was glad to have a room, but we left before we caught something that wouldn’t wash off. The manager should be properly trained, though it also seemed like plain laziness. That place should be condemned.

The shower water had a black tint and left my skin feeling oily and breaking out. The room was disgusting too, with mouse droppings and hair in the bed, and bits of food and water scattered along the center. The floor was filthy, and there was poop and pubic hair on the toilet. The shower was gross, and I felt cleaner before getting in. The woman at the counter was so out of it that she’d passed out in her chair. I really wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The bed seemed clean, and the bathroom was mostly clean, but the lobby smelled awful. There was something covering the wall, the floor trim was warped and coming loose, and the door at the top of the stairs was wrecked. It feels like motel 6 has given up on standards. Cheap and terrible.

I checked in late in the evening while traveling for graduation, but checked out again a few minutes later. I’d booked through booking.com, and both rooms I was given were disgusting. The walls and areas around the floors had mold, the floors were filthy, and there were blood stains on the sheets. I also found hair all over the tubs and on the shower chair, and the rooms smelled really bad. When I told the desk clerk, he wasn’t helpful at all. I’ll never use this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.
