Paula helped us find local vendors for my wife's hair and makeup, and pointed us to a place for flowers. We had a private vow exchange on the property at sunrise, and the setting made it incredibly beautiful. The Orchard Suite itself was probably the best place we stayed on the entire island. Later stays just didn't compare. The cabin was spotless and beautifully arranged, with lovely decor, floors, and ceilings. We could enjoy the breathtaking lanai view from inside through the huge glass doors across the back of the space. We even had a sunrise bath with the coffee provided. There were all the dishes and cooking gear we needed for a meal and a bottle of wine, plus an iron and ironing board for our wrinkled suitcases. It's close to the valley and a short trip from a cute downtown area. There were mosquitoes around, so keep the screens closed.

Daniel and his dogs made us feel so welcome, and the cottage was stunning when he showed us in. We saw a family of whales on a few occasions, and the waves and coqui frogs made for such a peaceful night. I fell asleep to the frogs, with the sound of the waves washing away my stress. We held our elopement on the lower lawn with Waipio Valley behind us. Hale Kukui Orchard felt like paradise, and I'm so glad we chose it. The grounds were gorgeous, with fresh fruit to pick as you wander, and I couldn't stop taking photos. We can't wait to return!

The studio at Hale Kukui was even better than we expected. We spent time wandering the orchard and picking fresh fruit for breakfast, and the frogs and other musical creatures made lovely sounds at night as we fell asleep. The view is amazing, and the caretakers are friendly. It was a wonderful base for exploring the northern part of the Big Island. We'd highly recommend it.

Waking up to pick fresh fruit from our own orchard and then visiting the art galleries in Honokaa made this feel like an experience we couldn't have had anywhere else but Hale Kukui. My family and I got a perfect taste of local life, with fresh fruit, breathtaking views, and waterfalls. It was easily the most incredible stay we've had on the Big Island.

The hosts were lovely, and the fruit was delicious. I spent part of my honeymoon here and had a great time. It's a charming little orchard with cute, small studio style houses, and the views are to die for. Couldn't have asked for better. Highly recommend.
