Hampton Inn & Suites Kutztown

We got snowed in the day after our wedding, and the staff helped turn it into Wedding Dinner Part 2. They reheated some of our leftover trays and let us take over the lobby with the guests who were still there. They even helped dig out every car on our last day, including my immediate family’s, while keeping the parking lot plowed. My fiance and I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Kutztown for a few days before and after the wedding. The manager sorted out a problem with my original third-party booking so I wasn’t charged twice. The cleaning staff noticed my wedding dress hanging out, worked carefully around it, and left a note offering to come back for a more thorough cleaning when the dress wasn’t there. Everyone was wonderful and flexible, and their help kept the wedding stress down. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

Kristan made sure my pizza delivery got to me. She called when it arrived, and when I came downstairs she was waiting by the elevator with a smile. She’d also put out plates, silverware packets, and napkins. Really went the extra mile.

We were there for almost a week while racing in a series, and my family was very pleased. The place was clean and organized, and the daytime manager was helpful and accommodating. Amanda stood out in particular. She worked both the front desk and breakfast area for most of our stay, always smiling, polite, hardworking, and helpful. Room service only came every other day, which was the one drawback. It may be company policy, but whenever we asked at the front desk, the nice staff took care of what we needed.

The room was filthy: there was women's hair on a bed and pillows, and it smelled terrible. My fiance and his Dad stayed only a few hours, so they put up with it, but we’ll be taking this to Management. I booked through booking.com around 10:30pm EST on 11/9 for a night outside Allentown, PA, after this Hampton Inn & Suites came up with very favorable reviews. I told them to call the hotel directly and let the front desk know they’d arrive after 12am on 11/10. My FIL did call, and the person at the desk said it wouldn’t be a problem. But when they got there, the attendant said they might face a cancellation fee and gave them a huge attitude, even after they explained they’d called ahead and been assured it was fine. They checked out just after 9:30am EST on 11/10. This is unacceptable regardless of the time of night, and I hope the front desk attendant is spoken with.
