Quality Inn & Suites

The sunrise is beautiful, and the location is great, right on S 35 Local between Austin, Buda, Kyle and San Marcos. The front desk staff were understanding and wonderful, and breakfast had plenty of good options. There's a pool, too. What more could you ask for?

A great base for visiting Kyle, San Marcos, and beyond. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bed is comfy, and the bathrooms have been updated and are clean.

The room was updated for a hotel in this chain, and had plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was lacking, so you'd be better off heading down the street for coffee and food. Coming north on I-35, follow Google Maps to find the hotel entrance accurately. It's a good overnight stay for less than $100.

If all you need is somewhere to crash, I'd give it five stars. Same if you plan to use the outdoor pool. But for customer service or a good free breakfast, thumbs down. Breakfast had the least food possible, and it looked like the owners had bought a run-down hotel and slapped clearance-tag paint over the damage. We were stranded in Kyle while our truck was being serviced, and they wouldn't work with us on a fair price to extend our stay by a few hours. They wanted $20 per hour. Checkout is at 11, and late checkout is only until 11:30, which is outrageous. The owners don't care if you live or die, they just want your money and hope they never hear from you again. We'll never stay here again. At least my baby had fun, oblivious to how awful the experience was for his mom and dad.
