Daniel's Motel

Really appreciate how kind and professional everyone was. Good people here, thank you 🙏

Really great rooms and excellent service. This motel is fantastic!

The pool may not open until two weeks after the town pool does, or until the owner feels like opening it. The gazebo is close to falling apart, and a badly laid patio and a couple of trees haven't fixed that. I've been here a while, and I'm using an account without my name because I'm scared the owner might retaliate. I feel stuck in a never-ending cycle of paying for the room, which is luxury-priced despite the ghetto fixes. In the smoking rooms, smoke alarms are switched off, unplugged, or don't work. The free Wi-Fi comes from ordinary home internet boxes, and you may not get a signal if your room is too far from one. Animals get dumped on the property when people move out or even while they're staying here, and the owner doesn't deal with it. I had to make sure a few abandoned pets found good homes myself. Dumping animals is abuse and a felony in this state. The owner has descriptions of all the animals on the property, so he must know who left them, but he won't call ivar until a pet has been out there for weeks.

The pool was a nice bonus, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, with newly redone floors, and the mattress was comfortable even though it squeaked. The AC took a while to work, and the rooms felt a bit dated next to other hotels and inns. Otherwise, I had a great experience.
