Carriage House Hotel

We're on the second day of our stay and have loved the hotel, the staff, and the room. When my flight was canceled and moved to another day, they worked with me and were helpful throughout. They're friendly and amazing, and the room is great. I'd recommend the hotel 100%.

My father paid for his confirmed reservation four months ahead, but when he arrived to check in at 5:30, he was told there were no rooms. Good luck getting this hotel to honor a booking. They won't answer the phone, customer service is horrible, and they refuse to refund his money. Can I give the hotel zero stars?

The rooms are quite nice and spacious, and the surrounding area is pleasant. It could be a really cool hotel, but basic things made our stay more complicated than it needed to be. We paid a premium and ended up with a mediocre experience, though a lower price might have made that easier to accept. Finding the parking and check-in area wasn't intuitive. The signs are tiny, hard to spot, and almost hidden if you don't already know the area. Getting to the rooms was convoluted too. The amenities are nice, but you have to walk through the little town center to reach them. We had to leave at 8 am, yet nobody was at the front desk even though the posted hours said it would be staffed then.

For ten years I lived within walking distance and booked rooms here when family gatherings needed extra space. Until yesterday, my experiences had always been pleasant. Then I arrived to check in and the woman at the front desk was rude and unwelcoming. If she meant to make sure I never come back, she succeeded.
