Surf & Sand Laguna Beach

Carson made our anniversary dinner at Splashes feel like a real celebration. He was warm and attentive from the start, gave us great recommendations, checked in at the right moments, and paced the meal so we never felt rushed. He seemed genuinely happy for us. The service felt both personal and professional, and turned an already lovely dinner into a night we’ll remember. If you dine here, ask for Carson.

We’ve been coming here for years and returned after the renovations. The work on the property is exquisite. From check-in through in-room dining, the whole experience has been incredible, with warm hospitality from the employees we’ve met on our stays.

The concierge was wonderful, suggesting good restaurants and even getting us reservations when nothing seemed available. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Splashes with unbeatable views, plus the pool and gym were fantastic. Our room had a very comfortable bed, lovely linens, a great shower, and a pocket door that opens all the way to let in the ocean air and views. Having Nespresso on the porch each morning while watching surfers was a perfect start to the day. The oceanfront setting and all the details felt welcoming and elevated. We loved staying at Surf & Sand and can’t wait to return.

We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, with Alfredo serving dinner and Deanna lunch. The food was incredible in both taste and presentation, and the service was exemplary. The prices are on the high side, but the gorgeous room, ocean views, and staff who really care about service made them seem like a bargain. Surf & Sand resort is our new favorite beach getaway. Most rooms are right on the ocean, so you hear the waves the whole time, and the sea life and views are spectacular. Our room was stylish and high-tech after the recent major remodel.
