The heated pool was a hit with our boys, and the main beach and smaller beaches were nearby along with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. Grab a pizza from Grazie Grazie and watch the sunset on the lawn across the street. We chose this place because my brother lives close, and it's an obvious option for us when traveling with family. Our large room had plenty of space for four, and having a grocery store nearby plus a full kitchen made breakfast at the hotel easy every morning. Great location and service.

Parking on the property was included, which was handy. The beach was just steps away, with plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff were friendly and easygoing, too. A great little spot, and we'd be happy to stay again someday.

We walked out for coffee and spent time on the beach every morning, thanks to the perfect location. Our family of three stayed at the Tides for a week, and everyone we met was amazing. The place was sparkling clean and had no strong cleaning smell. We made cherished memories here and hope to come back.

The Tides keeps me coming back because of its affordable rates and central location. It's an old-style California motor hotel on busy PCH, and though it must have been the jewel of Laguna Beach in its heyday, the place feels tired now and needs upgrades. Better room insulation would be a good start, since you can hear so much of what's happening next door.

It's a cute, very clean place and a great deal for an affordable stay. The beach is a beautiful walk away. There's an amazing coffee shop next door that opens at 6 am, and Chelas, a good, affordable Mexican place, is a block away. It's not luxury, but the price makes that clear.
