Quality Inn Lake City

Being right off I-75 with restaurants close by, including IHOP, Cracker Barrel, and Ruby Tuesday next door, made this a convenient stop. We also appreciated that Quality Inn didn't jack up the price the day after Thanksgiving when every other nearby hotel I checked was charging twice as much. Our room was clean and had what we needed. I had a small HDMI issue with the TV, and Bob sorted it out right away. Even with other groups coming to the desk, he kept them informed that he'd be back, handled each person thoughtfully, then hustled to help me and return to them. He was personable and funny, and made our stay great. Thanks, Bob!

The parking lot and pool area were quite dark at night, and the fitness center could use newer treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and dumbbells. The equipment is aging, with rust on the total workout machine, though I was still able to get a workout in. The stay itself was quiet and comfortable, and the room I switched to was clean and updated. I was there for work this week and liked the nightly rate. I'd noticed online that renovations were underway after some guest reviews, and that didn't bother me, since hotels need updates to keep up with the local competition. At check-in I was first given a room that hadn't been made up. Mistakes happen, and I understand housekeeping can sometimes mark a room ready before cleaning it, so I switched rooms without trouble. I'd stay here again when working in Lake City and recommend it. Better lighting and updated exercise equipment would improve the experience.

Breakfast was simple, with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins or pastries, and a few other things, but I was pleased with it. The hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff we met were friendly and helpful. I'd gladly return.

We're on the third floor, and it's day two without Wi-Fi or television. Those were included in what I paid, in full, months ago, so please let us know whether they'll be working and make this right. I kept my word and paid, now you need to keep yours. I asked for extra pillows, but every one is tiny and as fluffy as a bag of cotton balls. If you have neck problems, don't stay here. If you don't, you might after sleeping on these. I'll go to Walmart for a neck pillow for all three of us if you can get the Wi-Fi and TV working. The sweet, apologetic girl at the counter has me hoping Quality Inn will try to fix this, and I'm waiting. I'm writing this before breakfast in case I change the one-star rating. At least there don't seem to be bedbugs, trying to say something nice!
