Best Western Plus Lake Dallas Inn & Suites

The staff were amazing, and our room was spacious and clean. We chose the hotel mainly because it advertised a hot tub, and I even called ahead to make sure it was working. It was cold when we got there. Staff said they’d look into it, but it was still cold after two nights. That part was disappointing.

We needed an inexpensive place for two nights while in town for a wedding, so I knew the $89 a night price came with tradeoffs. Still, I was surprised to see the hotel near 4.5 stars on Google. The place smelled old, we seemed to run out of hot water, the hot tub didn’t work, and there were bits of mold in the showers. I’m 99% sure a spider bit me, too. It could’ve been worse for the price, but book with caution.

Our house burned to the ground about a month ago, and we’ve been staying here ever since. My wife and I haven’t always been the easiest guests while dealing with the stress, but the staff have helped us every day and handled everything with so much care. The manager, the roughly six front desk employees, and the cleaning and cooking staff made this far more than a pleasant stay. The rooms, breakfast, and amenities were great as well. I’m deeply grateful to the whole team for what they’ve done for us.

UPDATE 11/15/25: We stayed again with family, and Romeo and his staff were every bit as hospitable as before. This is the friendliest hotel I’ve stayed in, with such pleasant hospitality. The rooms were clean, breakfast was a great full spread, and the pool was sparkling. FANTASTIC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🌵🦖
