Quality Inn Lake Elsinore

For an overnight stay it was okay. The place was quiet and generally clean, though the smoking room definitely smelled of stale cigarettes, which I guess was expected. The coffee was absolutely awful, basically hot water run through an old, empty filter. At breakfast, the morning desk clerk was nice, but seemed in too much of a hurry to get my friend and me out. We still had 10 minutes before breakfast ended, but he was taking away the milk, sugar, and creamer while I was using them. He shut off the waffle maker before ours had finished cooking. Once we had the food we wanted, he was kind of rude about us not being able to carry it to the rooms. We wanted to finish what we could there and take the rest without an issue. His pushy, rushed behavior made me anxious and uncomfortable, and it felt completely unnecessary. There weren’t other guests waiting. He could have stayed at the desk while we ate what we couldn’t carry, and still closed breakfast on time before anyone else came for food.

The room was clean, but the shower only got warm, never hot, and I was cold trying to wash in it. The alarm stereo kept making noise too, with radio static coming on about every 10 minutes even though it was off. I wish I’d gone somewhere else for a hot shower and a quiet room. Check that your room has hot water and working electronics before you commit to staying.

I liked the room, and the service was okay, but the TV remote didn’t work. My husband checked and found there were no batteries, so we went down and got some. The TV still wouldn’t work, and even after we found the buttons on the set, we couldn’t get it going. The A/C worked, though it made a loud squealing noise that we’ll have to turn down at bedtime. I told a staff member, but she said there wasn’t another room to move us to, even though the website showed rooms available. I was disappointed, I don’t think I was asking for much.

I wouldn’t recommend this motel. The first room smelled like urine, and in the second one the shower water wouldn’t drain. It was disgusting. The pool is small, and sound carries through the walls and windows.
