The Cove Of Lake Geneva

The room was spacious and fairly clean, but getting there was a long walk. We were first sent to a third-floor room, where we found there was no jacuzzi, so we dragged our things back downstairs to get the right room on the second floor. That was still a long walk. Check-in also took a while because there were four weddings that weekend. The website listed Wi-Fi and parking as free, but we were charged for both. The in-room phones were dead, so we couldn’t call the front desk to ask what time the gift shop opened. We had to leave early the next morning for an emergency and couldn’t check out at the desk. Management emailed me a receipt the following day, and I saw a $150 service charge on it. We hadn’t ordered room service and had been out of the room most of the night.

We went for spring break and had a great stay. The room looked brand new, with new furniture, a clean carpet, and even that new-room smell. Everyone was really nice and helpful. If you need anything, you can text them and they’ll help right away. We’ll definitely come back.

Suite 228 was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was great. I also appreciated having full dishes, cutlery, and glasses. The couch and living room chair weren’t very comfortable, though, and the laminate floors weren’t my favorite. The outlets were inconvenient too. Nothing seemed to fit and stay plugged in. The Cove is in a great location, and this was our first time in Lake Geneva. Getting around the hotel meant dealing with lots of ramps, which felt like a strange layout. Still, we had a very nice stay and would come again.

The rooms themselves were clean, cozy, and comfortable, but we couldn’t get any rest for two nights. Guests in room 310 were shouting and acting drunk. Teenagers partied, screamed, slammed doors, knocked on other doors, and ran through the hallway late at night. Between Saturday and Sunday, we went to the front desk twice around midnight because the noise made it impossible to sleep. Security came twice, but the noise kept going. It felt like we were in the middle of a party instead of a hotel. We left exhausted, and nobody from the hotel even apologized. It was very disappointing, and we’ll never return. If guests are allowed to carry on like that, they should be put far from people who actually want to rest.
