Hampton Inn Lake Havasu City

The best part for me was the spectacular view from the back of the hotel, and the location was convenient, close to the highway with restaurants and activities you could walk to. Check-in went smoothly, the pool and jacuzzi tub worked, and breakfast had a great selection with hot meals included. My room was clean and spacious, the bed was extra comfy, and the staff were kind and courteous. The only issue was that the elevators weren't working, though I'm sure they'll get fixed. I had a good weekend and plan to come back next visit.

Breakfast comes with views of Lake Havasu in the background, and the pool area also overlooks the lake. The hotel isn't on the water, but the local boat launches are only minutes away and there's boat friendly parking. The location is great. The pool could use more lounge equipment, though. It also has a few gas grills and a sink, which would be handy if we had been prepared. Rooms are on point for Hampton.

The location is good, close to fun things, and the shower was really good: strong pressure, very hot water, and the tub drained properly. The room was dated, but otherwise okay, somewhere between bad and great. Then I found a beer can behind the bed. It wasn't mine, and it really put me off. Would I recommend it? Not sure. Make of that what you will.

Room 217, April 1st. We were disappointed by how bare the room felt. There weren't any pillows behind the deep sofa, and there were no extras at all. The only cups were paper ones for coffee, with nothing suitable for water, and no hand soap at the sink. I hadn't spotted an ice bucket, but after asking for help I learned it was tucked under the TV. When I asked the receptionist about it, she said she'd given me a bottle of water at check-in. I explained it was warm, and she told me to put it in the refrigerator. A little less frugality would improve the experience.
