Sway Hotel Lake Havasu

It’s in a great location and the room was under $100, but this is an extreme budget hotel. The rooms had just been remodeled, yet I felt like I was in a shoe box. It was very bare bones and everything felt cheap. There was a cute, trendy look, like they were going for something upscale, but it fell flat. The fresh paint and some kind of adhesive made the room smell so strong my eyes watered when we came in. They didn’t replace the shower pan or stall, so they were rusty and filthy. The lobby was under renovation too, with check-in set up in one of the rooms. I’m glad we only stayed one night. The town is super cute and I’d visit again, but I’d choose somewhere else to stay.

The building and rooms are great, and Mike and the staff at Sway are awesome. You’re close to the best parts of Havasu, including the London Bridge and Lake Havasu. The rates are fantastic, and they have a beautiful pool too. What more could you want? Stan the Man!

Dez gave me a room on the second floor overlooking the channel where the ferry departs and returns. It’s an amazing little boutique hotel in a great spot, within walking distance of the bridge. Guest Services were awesome, and Dez, you’re a breath of fresh air. The main lobby is under renovation right now. My only gripe is that there are no coffee makers in the rooms. I’ll be back. The staff were so kind, especially Terri, who makes delicious fresh coffee for guests every morning. We were pleasantly surprised by this renovated motel and its lake views. The smart TV was appreciated, and the smart mirror was really cool. Some renovation work is still going on, but the new fixtures look great and the beds are incredibly comfortable. We’d gladly stay again.
