We’ve stayed in nearly all of Mike and Cate’s cabins over the years, and when we visit the Chimney Rock or Lake Lure area we don’t look elsewhere. Even when we go closer to Asheville, we still choose their properties. We’ve tried short-term rentals in other states, but none match the care, details, and finishing touches they bring to each stay. Rock View Cabin is especially lovely, with stunning views of Chimney Rock and a cozy, romantic feel. The hot tub is only a few feet from its own private waterfall, which feels magical. In fall, the landscape can be full of vibrant color if you time your visit right. Mike and Cate have thought of everything, including a welcome basket of snacks, their signature touch at each cabin. There’s also a guidebook with nearby activities and local restaurant recommendations, all a short drive away. We can’t recommend their cabins enough for a romantic getaway.
